Currently I have a male Betta in a 10 gallon with 3 ADFs. But since the Betta has now decided he likes to eat all of the ADF's food, I now have to move the Betta.
My plan is to move the Betta into one half of a divided 10 gallon. The other half will be for a new Betta.

That will leave me with just 3 ADFs in a 10 gallon. This tank has a Whisper 10 power filter, 50watt heater set to 78F(that could be lowered if necessary), sand substrate, a fake rock cave, and silk plants.
Obviously, I want to add more to this tank. I know there are many options, so please, suggest away.

Yes, there are a number of options, depending on what you're interested in.

I like either cherry barbs or sparkling gouramis, with a school of small (dwarf) cories for the bottom.

I think your going to have the same problem with any fish you put in there. You can try faster sinking food or squirting the food down to the bottom.

I would go with cherry barbs, they are plenty pretty and active...

Now as far as making sure your ADF gets enough to eat, try using of the of UGF uplift tubing to drop the food down to the AGF, and feeding the others right before or immediately after...maybe it might help...heidi

I don't have a problem getting the food down to the frogs. The problem is when the Betta sees the food sitting on the sand. He then quickly darts down to eat as much as he can find.

My main thought was trying something with a smaller mouth and less aggressive than a Betta. Would some male Guppies work?

I also had the thought of just filling the tank up with more ADFs. I was thinking about 8 total. Or would that be too many?

How many Cherry Barbs could I put in there? Does the male/female ratio matter?

I'm really stuck as to what to do with this tank.

How would Pygmy Cories do in this tank?

Doesn't anyone else have some suggestions?

I hand feed my ADF, he shares a 10 with a betta too. The betta has learned that I feed the ADF and tries to take the food from my hand. But the frog still gets some. I also have 6 neons in there.

Not sure I'd put more bottom feeders in, especially as ADF's are a bit slow about the food thing ....Small school of neons, or some of the smaller rasbora (exclimation point, ect) might work especally if the tank were well planted.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

I am now leaning towards this stock; 3 ADFs, 3 male Guppies, and 2 Cherry Barbs.
How does that sound?

You forgot the tons and tons of plants . It doesnt' have to be bunches of different plants, find one or two plants that do well for you and plant it up . It'll give everyone their own seperate space and make for a rather impressive display. 10's are easy to get good lighting on, not hard to fill with a good plant substrate and you can easily run DIY CO2 on them.
