You could try it out in a semi-aggressive/agressive tank, but they're not as tough as ACFs so any tankmate would have to be big, but peaceful. I'd expect the toad to get about 8 inches long and anything over 20 gallons should be good, because, like the related aquatic frogs, they are very inactive. Earth worms and frozen blood worm/shrimp cubes would be a nice diet. Alive or dead, doesn't matter, they hunt by smell alone. Basically, think of them as a more fragile, slightly bigger, ACF and you will be set. |
