Including the tail, they are about 11 inches, give or take. I know my pair of syno decorus are about 13 inches and you can see the couple inch difference in them.

Sorry for going off topic, but ACID - how big are your synos? I hope mine get to be that old! Reason I ask is that I have two that I got at the same time and they were the same size, one has barely grown, the other is probably a good 7" long now.

Oldest running tank, moved but never totally broke down, and always had at least 1/3rd water in it during moves, is one of my 55 gals. It has been going for 29 years.

My oldest fish, are two Synodontis Eurupterus that are both 23 years old. Or I bought them 23 years ago.

My dad has a 13 pound rainbow trout that's been hanging on the wall since he caught it back in 1983. I've got a 6 year old comet and some 5 year old shubukins in my pond.

My 55 has been up and running for 11 straight years, however after about 6 years I moved a long distance and gave my african cichlids to lfs. It was immediately set up again at my current location, but it is now a community aquarium.

My oldest fish is a striped raphael catfish, it is @5 years old.

Do yabbies count?

Failing that, 4 year old SAE pair.

And the tank, well, um, i think its 6-8 years old... i'll have to check.

I have a tank that has been running for five months, and I have some five month old lemon tetras. I'm sure that counts for something.

I won't be able to compete in any of these lists as my current tank has only been up and running for 10 months or so (I did have a tank that I maintained for about 10 years, but that was 10 years ago so that doesn't count I think). Maybe with the oldest fish competition you may want to add the species, some cichlids will live for decades while other species will only last a couple of years

My 10 gallon has had fish in it for 12 years... Not the same fish, but fish nonetheless.

I assume you want this under the tank running up?
