Length x Width x Height???

Only it looks a bit 'short'. Which means it's probably a tall aquarium. Tall enough for big angels, if my guess is right. Is it more than 18 inches tall???

Well I'm not great with metric but I'm guessin its a 3'x1.5' footprint with a height of about 20" or so. Real good angel tank. Sorry I guess I had to say it in inches/feet to make sence to myself. Nice tank.

According to those measurements, and the site calculater it's as follows:
Litres: 267.14
US Gallons: 70.58
UK Gallons: 58.77

Depends on where you took the measurements from of course. On the substrate issue...unless you're planning on making it a planted tank I wouldn't suggest going any deeper than that. Planted tanks want 3-4 inches of substrate so you'll lose a bit of gallonage, and in the case of the angel height.

I was thinking of a few plants only in each corner of the tank or maybe all of them at the backend of the tank. This will let the fish have more place to swim around. In the one corner i want to make a kind of reef or just putt some stones or something..that will be the home for my shrimps and zebra plecos later

Awesome looking tank There is nothing like the feel and looks of a new tank...I would know I just got a new one a couple of weeks ago:%) Have fun planning it out...Take your time, plant it up, and I'd go with angels Heidi

If that tank is 56 cm high, then there's enough height for angels even with a 3 inch substrate for plants.

Take the tip from the old Innes book. Make the substrate slope, so you have say, 1½ inches at the front, and 5 inches at the back, with some strategically placed small lengths of slate to help it stay in placeso that it doesn't slowly drift toward the front and level off with the passage of time (and bottom feeder activity). Then, if you're thinking of angels, plant mainly reedlike plants such as Vallisneria, with the odd Amazon Sword or Aponogeton.

Six angelfish in that tank with such a planting would look very nice indeed. And you'd have some growing room for them. Furthermore, with six, you'd be almost guaranteed to get a breeding pair in due course, although once that happened, you would probably have to rehouse the non-breeders or set up a 'honeymoon hotel' aquarium for the breeders. Either way, this seems to me like a good idea.

Oh, and if you decide not to go with angels, and decide to make it a fairly busy community aquarium instead, watch out when choosing Corys. 20 inches is a lot of water for them to swim through to reach the surface and take air. Which they do as part of their respiratory process (they are adapted to do this to survive in waters that become diminished in capacity during the dry season). Which means you should be considering a small group of 6 from one of the more robust and more domesticated species. Jessnick has already encountered problems with Pandas in a tall aquarium (optimised for angels) and this might affect you too if you choose the wrong Cory species. I'd pick robust bodied ones for that setup because of the eventual water depth.

Thank you very much for the info Calilasseia
I will try to get these plants,Vallsneria, odd amazone sword or aponogeton.
If i go with the angels..lets say 6 of them. What other fish can i have..is it ok with some tetras and neons?
Today or tomorrow i will buy the plants, driftwood and some rocks.
2 new pics added.it took around 3-4 hours to clear the water from the new gravel i added.
When do i test my water for ammonia, nitrate and nitrite?

[link=Calculators]http://www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/convert.asp" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] Just put in the measurements and it calculates tank volume.

53cm=22"

22"-3" = 19"

To me an fish that gets 10" tall + will just look odd in a 19" tank. Just not something I'd do. Even if it isn't stunted to me big fish look bad in small tanks or tall fish in short tanks. It ruins the suspension of disbelief.

10" tall is really pushing it for an angel IMO, unless you have a veil tail or long finned angel and are counting the full tail length. IME keeping angels they don't really move a whole lot vertically even in a very tall tank, they really just hover, move around horizontally toward the mid-top of the tank. The height of that tank would be more than enough for them if you like them. Personally I prefer the shorter finned "wild-type" or zebra angels anyway, and a tank like that would be plenty tall enough for them.
