I got four of these guys the otherday 2 males and 2 females (completely by chance) and they are some of the coolest fish ive owned..sure i havent had too many diff fish (bala, tiger barbs, dwarf puffers, CAE, koohli loach, cories, zebra danios, guppies, tetras, unidentefiable barbs, upside down catfish, Blackskirt Tetras and maybe a few others) but these guys are great, they are facinating to watch interact with one another as they seem to dance in circles around the tank (maybe its the male claiming territory) and when i go to feed them they all come to the front and kinda stare be down. and the males are oh so red and beautiful...

I love pencilfish too. Their movement reminds me of hummingbirds. Congrats on your new fish!

hahaha thats what i just said to my mom a second ago...strange

If you can, add a floating plant (real or fake) to their tank. When I kept Nannostomus eques they liked to hover under my floating plant.

alright that was actually one of the things on my list to pick up on friday though i had forgoten, thanks for the reminder
