I am thinking of purchasing a 3 gallon eclipse system but am unsure as to what to put in it. I know I can only put in like 2 fish, which is fine. But what two fish can I put in it? Also, how do I keep it warm, do they sell heaters small enough to not fry the tank? Any suggestions would be great.

I wouldn't put two of anything in.

I'd only go with a male betta and lots of plants. Depending on the behavior of the betta you might be able to add a shrimp or ADF.

trio of endlers?

Exactly how are you setting it up? this may impact on how many of what you can put in

I think only shrimps or a betta are suitable for a tank that small.

3 white clouds could also work instead of the betta.

I wouldnt put 3 white clouds in there. They may be small, bu they are quite active and deserve to have the swimming room. Just because they can fit in there, doesnt mean you should put them there.

I wouldnt put any otos in there either. They like having friends and are sensitive to water quality fluctuations, which small tanks are very e to having.

Why not just put about 1000 Oscars in there???????????? Just messing around.

I would say a Betta. I wouldn't put just 1 oto in a tank. They need friends.

What about a Pair of Dwarf Pencilfish?
Or a pair of those tiny livebearers? heterandia formosa?
Or maybe a pair of cherry barbs?
I agree though that a very nicely planted
shrimp nano tank would be awesome.
You could do some mosses and then
get some colorful tiny shrimps like bumblebees, or
cherrys, or ghosts, or the like.
That would be awesome

I have a 2 gallon with plants and an ornament with a betta usually but right now it's housing guppy fry. The betta will be moving back in quickly.

as long as it's got other things in there it's beautiful to see the betta swim through it all!!
