Hey guys, long time no post!!

Anyhoo...

I am kind of tired of my lone Fire-Bellied Toad (she is still single and looking, !) and am thinking that maybe I would like to get some other kind of oddity I can keep in one of my empty tanks. I would like to know what you guys think is the best oddity out there so I can look into getting something truly unique for my next pet.

Suggestions??
L.

Oh, I have a 5 gallon, a 10, two 35's, and a 30 tall that are not being used at the mo... Could be something to fit in any of them.

For the small tanks, I have found crayfish to be easy to keep, interesting to watch, and there are so many varieties out there that you can usually find something a little less common than an electric blue cray from the lfs. Dwarf crays are my favorite, and you can fit 5-6 in a 10 gal. tank, or just a pair in a 5 gal. tank, maybe with a short-finned betta, since dwarf crays rarely ever bother fish at all.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

If you like reptiles and amphibians check out the reptile section at this website. You don't have to get them here but it will give you a good idea of what is available.

Mudskippers!

I'd suggest Axolotls, but they can be dead boring.

Mudskippers are a little interactive, and great little hunters, and look oh-so-cool

Cray are cool too, as are long armed shrimp.

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett
