Okay. I've been trying to figure out what to do with my fish. I have a 10 gal, currently over populated, a 46 gal with no fish in it, and 2 one gallons. I also have several empty one gallons.

Here is my current stock of fish:
in the 10 gal...
3 Mollys
3 Plattys
2 Zebra Danios

In the first one gallon:
1 Male Betta
1 Snail

In the second one gallon:
Mystery babies (Not sure if they are guppies or mollys, but they are most likely mollys) They are getting to big for the one gal and I hope to move them.

Here what I am thinking:

In the 10 gal:
3 Plattys
1 Peaceful Bottom Dweller, or a non-schooling small fish

In the 46 gal:
3 Mollys
Mystery Babies (they are big enough so the mollys wont eat them.)
2 Danios (perhaps adding some more? I hear they like to school)
2 Angels (I really want angels somewhere)
Some Corys or Salt&Pepper Catfish, or other small algey eaters.
I also am growing some live plants in there, but have many fake plastic ones so there will be plenty of hiding spaces for small fish. I would also like to move my snail into the 46 gal or the 10 gal.

Im not sure where Klaus (the betta) should go. He seems content in the one gal, but from my experience with bettas (alot) I think he needs a bigger tank. Should I put him in the 10 gal, the 46 gal, leave him where he is, or upgrade him to a 2 or 3 gal?

Please let me know Thanks!

Hmm danios and angels may not mix too well...depending on the temperment of the danios they may annoy the angels possibly even inflicting fin damage.
If the danios are older I wouldn't suggest adding to the school unless you really like danios. Yes they are schooling, but they're more shoaling than schooling. Two of my tanks currently have a pair of danios in them, hang-ons from larger schools that have since dwindled. They play with each other fine but anytime I've tried to add to or combine a school they end up picking fights (danio gangs ).

As for adding angels to the 46, I'd be concerned depending on how tall the tank is. Angels like taller tanks and need about 10 of the gallons to themselves.

The tank is huge. It is very tall... Im not sure the exact inches, but it is at least 30", if not bigger (Im in a computer lab now so I cant measure it) Its very big for a 46 gal... Size wise, it looks closer to a 55 or 60 gal. Very tall, very long, and very wide.
The Danios are about an inch, so they are still pretty young, but I did start out with 3 The other two play nicely and dont bother the other fish, when I had guppies they didn't bother them at all. I plan on getting the angels dime or quarter sized, so hopefully they will get along nicely.

Other then that how does that sound?

Hey what about adding a butterfly fish to my 46 gal??? According to thier profile they are peaceful, and compatable with angels. Would that work?

Some Corys or Salt&Pepper Catfish, or other small algey eaters

Cories are not algae eaters and they need to be kept in groups(usually 6+). They will clean up excess food on the bottom but would do best to also be fed specifically instead of just left to cleanup what is missed. I believe when you say salt and pepper catfish you are also thinking of a cory species but there are so many common names for various fish who knows.

The gallons of a tank are decided by it's dimensions so you cannot have a 46g that is wider, taller, and longer than a 55g or it would not hold only 46gallons. A 46g is big enough for at least 1 angel and I'd probably just add 1. If they end up being male and female and decide to spawn they might injure another fish gaurding their eggs. If they are both males they might fight and you can't tell the gender of angels until they are spawning.

No! I ment it looked as big as a 55 gal, I ment as far as dimentions go... (I E when you see them in the store) Of corse a 46 gal is not going to hold 55 gal of water I just ment that it looked that big (mabey its flatter or something?)

I think the one angel would be very pretty, and I am kind of intreaged by the butterfly fish and saw on the sight that they are compatable. Would they be okay together with the mollys?

What bottom feeders would be good with baby mollys? I don't want the bottom feeders to eat them....

This is the arrangements I am now considering:

1 Gal #1:
1 Male Betta
1 Snail

10 Gal:
3 Plattys
2 Zebra Danios
1 Bottom Feeder

46 Gal:
1 Butterfly Fish
1 Angelfish
5 Mollys+ Fry (My M:F ratio is off now for some reason)
Bottom Feeders

Undecided Bottom Feeders:
Octilious Cat (Grows to 2" Max), "Alge Eaters" (Grow to 2" Max), Albino & Spotted Corys, Pictus Catfish (Grow to 6", a school of Cloan Loaches, Lace Catfish, or a combination of them. I am not too particularly fond of Corys, but I think they would be cute if I mixed them w/something else since they are not schooling.
