The input(water going back into the tank) is the one on the top of the lid and the spray bar, and the outout(coming out of hte tank to be filtered) is the tube that goes into the bottom of the filter and with the tube at the end. Hope this helps! not quite sure what you mean? |

With the red handle of the cannister lid toward you so that you must pull it toward you to restrict water flow, the input is on your right and output is on your left.
