I usually have to go to petco and petsmart. However I discovered a lfs about an hour away and im gonna check it out tomorrow. I heard they carry some exotic fish I would never buy fish from walmart unless they had an extremely good fish and i could quarantine it. Almost every tank there always have at least one dead fish in them and there is almost no care given to the fish. |

As I said before, and as just about everyone here said, it really depends on the individual store. I thought the large chains were all there were here. then I looked in the yellow pages and found a few lfs but they all seemed to carry the same stuff as petsmart, or were saltwatrer only. Then I called a local distributor (fish wholesaler) and he put me onto a lfs about an hour away that carried what I wanted. the tanks didn't look all that great but the fish looked very healthy and I picked them up. after a brief q'tine they are very happy and well adjusted in their new home. yay |
