Ever since I got my 10 gallon set up I have wanted to upgrade to a 29 to really allow my fish more room. I saw them on sale for 100$ complete set up so I am think of upgrading.

My current stock info (see profile for more info on tank 1)

FISH
1 Female Bolivian Ram/Mikrogeophagus altispinosus
3 Panda Cory's/Corydoras panda
5 Bloodfin Tetra's/Aphyocharax anisitsi
INVERTS
1 Amano shrimp/Caridina japonica

Wanted stock for 29 gallon
2 Bolivian rams (1 male, 1 female)
10 Panda Cory's
10 Bloodfin Tetra's
4-6 otto's
and
20 Amano shrimp
10 Bumble Bee shrimp/Caradina serrata
is it possible??

It's a nice mix but might technically be a bit overstocked, especially with the bottomfeeders.

If you do go with otos make sure there is algae already established in the tank before adding them. If you've never kept them before [link=here's]http://www.fishprofiles.com/articles/freshwater/oto.asp" style="COLOR: #FFCCCC[/link] a highly recommended article.

to really allow my fish more room

I don’t really see where your stocking scheme would create this situation. You fill up a bigger room with way more fish (and a load of shrimp) and you might actually end up with less space per fish than now.

What is your motivation to get all these algae eating animals (Otos and Shrimp)? If you buy a $100 complete setup then you will not get any good light (except if it is a really good deal and then you have to let me know where that store is) and as such algae issues should be limited.

I would say:

2 Rams
6 Cories
8 Tetras
and maybe 3 Otos

I had a feeling it was over stocked.
How about

2 Rams
8-10 Corys
8-10 Tetras
and a few shrimp

I really just wanted the schools to be filled out but it may be too costly after I update the light as I wanted to do a planted setup.
I suppose I could skip the whole package deal and buy a good tank, filter, heater and one of those compact fluorescent lights as seen in tetra techs log.

How about:

2 Rams
6 Cories
8 Tetras
and a few Shrimp.

6 cories is a nice sized group, 8 tetras are more than the minimum for a school, and shrimp don't care.

And when all is said and done, you can still add more later. I think it would be harder to remove some fish in case you added too many.

I'd go with the pair of rams, 3-4 cories, 3 ottos, and 6-8 tetras, along with however many shrimp your heart desires. Also, I'd pass that $100 deal. Odds are, you're going to get stuck with crappy lighting and poor filtration. GO to a reputable store and speak to an employee. Odds are, they can set you up with a good price.
