I am using these two products to dechlorinate and condition my water during initial tank setup and water changes. Now on to my question... Since the AmQuel+ removes ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates won't this hinder my beneficial bacteria? Will my tanks ever fully cycle using these products?

From my understanding Amquel+ does not remove ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, but neutalises them, making them harmless to life in the aquarium. You may find that when testing for these compounds in the water that you get false readings which will make it difficult to determine when the cycling process is complete.
So, in answer to your question, yes your tank will cycle but you might have problems with false readings of ammonia when there is none there.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Thanks for the info. Could you recommend a better water conditioner/dechlorinator (one that won't give false readings)?

Seachem Prime seems to be the one most people recommend.

Lasts forever as only a few drops are needed per water change.

Here is a picture.

Ingo

PS: I use it myself since 5 weeks and it seems to do its job

Cool . I will have to pick some up next time I get water conditioner. My AmQuel+ and NovAqua+ are getting low anyway.
