it is done. fish were moved out, the bottom was vacuumed, a new substrate was added to the large 1cm rock i had, now there is still some larger river rock, but its mostly small 3mm'ish smooth rock, the corys love it!

pulled out the java moss, that crap is soooo messy!

so, here is the new loadout:

4 Lemon Tetra (almost full grown)
1 Angel Fish (koi coloring is it? and its about 2.5" long)
1 South American Bumblebee Catfish (bout full grown,2.6"
1 Bristlenose Pleco (female, only 2.5"ish)
7 Corydoras (3 julii,1 Bronze,2 Peppered,1 Leapord,sized 1.5"(peppereds) to 3.25" (leapord), they all school together)

when the BN pleco gets bigger she is going to a co workers 50 gallon.

thats the new load out, i know, it needs more tetras, but i cleaned him out, i will prolly add a couple more later, i needed some though so the angel would establish its territory with the tetras in there.

I hope this load out will work, hopefully I am not overstocking. water changes are precise and once weekly, ph stays the same, water hardness stays roughly the same, and when i do the water changes it is with a gravel vac so between all the bottom feeders and a once a week vacuum, it stays clean. once a month i also pull the fish out, put them in the ten gallon temporarily and pull all the plants and rocks out to do a thurough vacuum. it stirs up and junk that gets missed and then i run dual 50 gallon filters to clean out any junk from the water the vacuum misses.

Am I correct in that you are basically pulling the tank down every month? This seems a lot of work is it actually necessary.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

well, there is alot of junk, the barbs were messy eaters, so they tended to shred their food and they left the remain trapped in places i couldnt reach with the gravel vac. also the bumblecat likes to drag his shrimp and other pellets into his caves to eat, so those get messy, it might be unneccasary though, dunno.

now that i scaped the tank better and i dont have fish that are as messy i should be able to lenthen that time.

ima get pics after work tomarrow

The Tetra's & the Corydoras need to be in groups of at least 6 of the same species.

Do you have any Driftwood in the tank?.

there will be more lemon tetras added. the corys shoud be the same, i know, but, they all school together even though they arent all the same type.

i have to find some more lemon tetras in the area before i can add more. i plan on getting a couple more.

and yes, i have driftwood in the tank.

well, i got another lemon tetra today, prolly will get a couple more as they become available.

I now have a small school of 5 lemon tetras,1 koi angelfish,1 half grown BN pleco female,1 full grown south american bumblebee cat, and 7 corys.

im fully stocked now, except for maybe another lemon tetra or two when they become available. i love the way it looks, i havent had time to get pics yet due to my job, i have had no time, lol.

i will post as soon as i can. i love the new set up and all the fish seem very happy!

p.s. is it ok to give freeze dried bloodworms and baby shrimp to tetras and angelfish? they seem to love them...i ussually add some live and freeze dried food every few days for variety. im feeding the tetras a high protien community flake and some vegetable flakes to go along with it, their colors are VERY bright. any care suggestions?

also, with the angelfish, its getting some high protien community pellet food as well as blood worms and shrimp occasionaly, it eats some of the tetras flakes, and i also have some small chichlid pellet food i have been dropping in there too. any suggestions?

Just keep feeding them healthy food & they will be more than happy.

Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp & Beef Heart are some of the most healthy foods that i feed my fish.
