Or some more unique looking fish. Thanks for any advice! |

Those things can be spawns of hell. The Clown Loach will also grow too large for the 55 gallon, and also prefers a school. Other than the Apistogramma and Rams, most cichlids are pretty incompatible with what you've got either by water quality (Rift Lake Cichlids) or by size and predatory behaviors (most other Central/South American cichlids). Also, Severums, Keyhole Cichlids, and Flag Cichlids are possible other, larger species of cichlids that might not bother your other fish too much but, on the other hand, are not very colorful. Because if they are common plecs, they will grow 17-18 inches. And to think there are two in your tank. Not to mention that they are WASTE MACHINES! |
jazz![]() ![]() Fingerling Posts: 33 Kudos: 3 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-Jan-2003 ![]() | I guess I should have elaborated a bit more... The reason for the single clown loach... It WAS a group of 3 (however we're down to one, long story, lesson? don't trust neighborhood kid to feed fish while on vacation)... and it has a home after it is too big for the 55 Reason for 2 pleco's? : Previous tank location... problem with direct sunlight and algae. Tank has been moved from the sunlight position and a new home for one of the pleco's is in the works. |
