Peacfull but can kick ace if it needs to... Of course you want your tank and the fish in it to be at one or balenced, but in my experience there has always been that one bully fish that forces an other to cower in a corner. I want a fish that wont pick on others but if one trys to pick on him he will teach it not to. Im not talking about a 8 inch cichlid eating a neon. Im talking about fish that stand there ground without bullying others.

My 8" snakeskin gourami is the "peacekeeper" in my tank. He has never harmed a fish, not even my very tiny cardinal tetras. But when he sees other fish fighting with each other, he'll go and chase them apart. He doesn't let anybody fight in the tank.

It's really funny.

A 40g and a 60g but this forum topic is mainly just for fun/ideas/information and other peoples fish stories. Im not worried about compatibility or size; I can figure that out myself. So if you have had any fish that would fit in this topic tell us about it.

I thought it was my tiger barbs but then i got some cherry barbs and they are hardcore! they dont take no messing.

But I think the bravest ( and possibly weirdest ) fight I ever witnessed was my male Sailfin molly fighting with my ruby Shark. what the hell was going on there??? I thought mollies were the most peaceful of all fish, but clearly not... he was really giving the shark a run for his money but luckily they stopped so no one was hurt...

I'm not sure about keeping the peace, but my rtbs kicks my tiger barbs butts ^_^ he won't mess with the serpae tetras, so they go and hide in his half of the tank if they are starting to get picked on
