I have a 10 gallon tank with:
Many small snails (constantly breeding)
A guppy( cant determine gender)
2 Neon tetras
A glowlight tetra

I was thinking of getting some more tetras, a male and female guppy ( want to breed) and some sort of other fish that will be at harmony with the fish. Any suggestions?

more neons n glolites wood work very well
maybe 5 of each
the thing with guppies is they do n will breed so it wont b long before u have alot of them
they will crowd out ur tank eventually

Go with a tank of all Neon Tetras, it will look awesome

Then go out and get yourself a 20 or 29 gallon tank and get 2 or 3 female guppies and 1 male guppy...then stand back and wait for the population explosion...just make sure you know of an lfs that will take them in, otherwise you will eventually end up doomed

Oh and welcome to FP!

EDIT: I'll post a couple of pictures of a male and female guppy when I get home so you can see the difference. hml

if u get a larger tank, a great community setup is tetras from various spieces n bottom dwellers like cories.
rams n gourmaies make ideal centerpiece fish
u wont b dissappointed

Isnt a ram a malawian chilid? Dont I have to keep them in a special tank? As for the gouramies would a dwarf gourami male be suitable? I had a dwarf gourami before and i fell in love with them

Rams are South American & are very beautiful.
Tetra's need to be in schools, of at least 6.
