There are actually a number of options for a 6g:

-male betta and ADF
-2-3 female bettas, depending upon their personalities
-killiefish
-male Endler's
-dwarf puffers
-pair of cherry barbs (very pretty)
-sparkling gouramis
-shellie tank (pair of N. brevis)

how abt dwarf puffer...abt 2-3 of them...just make sure u have plants in there...they really look nice in that small tank...u may have shrimps in there too...but u have to reduce the water flow..

The tank is a bit small to keep much in. Water quality will also be an issue, as pollution could overtake it very quickly. Personally id keep nothing more than a shrimp or two, maybe a couple of plants. You could breed snails in it , maybe have a species of dwarf xenopus (african clawed frog- but ONLY the dwarf kind)- and no fish in with them -they hate fish.). Fish really need bigger tanks than this,so its back to the drawing board.

You really dont have too many options. I would put a betta in there personally or you could do what GFG suggested with the guppies.

I'd try and slow the current down and get a betta!

maybe put baby guppies in there to grow up or a female to give birth prehaps???

its difficult, with 100% Water changes you switch the filter off and keep a Betta

Most fish that would enjoy current don't really belong in a small tank. Maybe guppies or other small livebearers but I can't think of much that would enjoy current. Bettas and small gouramis wouldn't.
