Well, my 55 gallon stocking is almost complete. Currently I have...

16 Rosy Tetras
1 Cardinal Tetra (last survivor of my batch of 18)
9 Black fin Cory's (C. Leucomelas)
1 C. Ambiacus (mixed in above bacth of cory's)
4 Otto Catfish
2 Blue Rams

I have one spot left in my 55 gallon and it could be filled by either 3 Pearl Gourami's or 1 Angelfish. Which would you recommend for this tank?

Thanks.

Three Moonlight Gouramis. They only get a little bit larger than the Pearl Gouramis, but they will stand out a lot more. Pearl Gourami's coloration looks awesome up close, but it's meant for camouflage and if you're more than a few feet away from the tank, they really don't stand out that much.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

I would go with Pearl Gourami, as they are very beautiful & peaceful.

I would get three male pearl gourami as stated they are extremly peaceful. The bluish Opaline gourami are also very peaceful.

Pearl Gouramis.

While I love my angel...I would also have loved a trio of Pearl Gouramis for my 55g. They look so peaceful together in pictures I have seen. I think they would be a nice addition to your 55g.

First of all, you need to fix the 1 cardinal tetra. Add 5 more and then 3 pearl gouramis. When they are fully grown, they go stand out and are gorgeous.

Yes I realize I need to fix the cardinal. But I don't have the money to buy a whole school for him anymore. I was almost certain he would die just like the 17 others. But no, this one is resiliant and has survived over a week. He seems fine but I may just return him to the store.

Alright, so I guess it is settled. I will get a trio of pearl gourami's.

Thanks
