If I put a dwarf puffer in my 37 gallon community tank to control my snail population, should I worry about it killing my kribensis fry?

Putting loaches? That sounds interesting... I will look into that, thanks.

Puffers are agressive and at the least fin nippers. Try some small loaches. They prefer to be in groups so get friends and stay away from clown loaches that will outgrow your tank. Kuhlis also aren't the best snail eaters although some will eat them. Any of the other loaches should be fine.

I agree, a dwarf would probably view the fry as food.

Loaches will eat the fry readily too. And probably more than the puffers as well, because loaches are very fast and sneaky while puffers tend to be more slow and "clumsy".

Also, Dwarf Puffers are one of the most peaceful puffers, and can usually be kept in a community tank unless there are fish with long fins and/or slow-moving fish.

The Loaches will eat the Snails & the fry, so your problem is not solved.

Thanks y'all. I am going to see the fate of the fry and then decide on the other two options...since right now, it seems neither is a good choice. Thanks again.

Really most fish that can fit the fry in their mouth are likely to eat them. I have kept several DP in community environments with NO problem. However, a tiny wiggling fry looks like caramel popcorn to most fish. By the way, I have kept DP with male keib with no problem, but I would not test it with fry.
