Hey Guys,

I have just setup my first 4' tank. 48"x14"x18".
Now using the cal on this it works out to be 198lt (empty).
After l had put in the gravel, driftwood and rocks I ended up only getting 160lt of water in the tank. Plus 5lt in the canister.

Here are the plants l have in the tank so far. Also have C02.
1x Small Amazon Sword (Echinodorus amazonicus)
5x Med Contortionist Val (Vallisneria sp.)
3x Cuban Broad Leaf Chain (Echinodorus quadricostatus)
3x Narrow Leaf Chain Sword (Echinodorus tenellus)
5x Microsword (Lilaeopsis brasiliensis)

Here are the fish l'm planing to get.
2x Samll Anglefish
6x Black Widows
6x Diamond Tetra
2x Bolivian Ram
2x Peppermint Pleco (L030)

Do you guys thing that this stocking list might be too much?
I will be doing a 20% (40lt) water change weekly.

Cheers
Wayne

Overall stocking sounds ok to me, maybe a bit heavy on the middle layer (the first 3 fish are middle dwellers). How much lighting do you have and what type of CO2 system? Good luck!

Yeah l though my middle layer might be over done, but so far the Black widows l have seen to love the more upper to top part of the tank.

I know Angles love the middle area so thats ok.

For the past month l have been studying the Diamond tetra’s at the LFS and they seem to enjoy the bottom to middle part of the tank. But then again this is in the LFS tank.

In regards to lighting l have 4x 36w 6500k fluro lights and the C02 system l'm running is the Red Sea DIY kit.
