I am at odds right now on what to do with my assortment of tanks. I've been this way for awhile, knowing that I was going to go and set up fry tanks, but not knowing quite how or when. Well, summer is here so why the heck not...
Now I want your input on what fish should go where, if you could, please

10 gallon--empty
10 gallon--empty
20 gallon--empty
55 gallon--needs to be resealed, but empty:%)
20 gallon--began as breeding tank could leave as such *shrug* has a trio of guppies + many fry; 5 corydora hasbrosus + 2 young (2 month old) metae corries
29 gallon--Guppies galore:%)doing what guppies do best
125 gallon--bottom feeders galore, neons, harlies, 1 betta
10 gallon--divided 2 male bettas
20 gallon long--empty

Now here is the thing I will not give up the guppies they must stay, help me decide where, and not in the bettas tummies:NO( I want to keep my bettas I love them too much and I have been told do not put any guppies into the 125

So how shall i rearrange, what should I add? I would love to get more malawi cichlids to replace the ones i lost :#( but have also thought about going with angels, maybe in the 29...I really need help planning this out...anyone up for the challenge?

For the 10, do one up planted for endlers, or some of the small rasboras...hey you've got a few empty tens do one of each.

Use the 20 for some of the shell dwellers, multis would work in the 10, or 20 I suppose...

20 gallon long.....gold or tiger barbs !

Unless you plan on investing in strong lighting for the 125 I would move the tetras and such to a smaller tank and use the 125 for your cichlids, as they would appreciate the extra room. (Remember those green terrors I was telling you about? hehe.) As for the rest, who cares, its the 125 that counts, the rest is just filter fluff.

Are you interested in breeding fish at all? You could set up some tanks for spawning, and others for raising fry. If you're looking for an easy introduction to breeding egg-scatterers, maybe try to order some of the "new" white clouds, Tanichthys micagemmae. They're easy to spawn, the eggs are easy to hatch, and the young are easy to raise. Not only that, they are beautiful fish, too.

OK maybe i should add a couple more rules huh

the 125 is gonna stay community unless i go back to mbunas

i'm already raising metae fry and keep thinking i might like some sort of a set up like cali's (just a thought really) or at least a tank for them to grow out in...

i'm not opposed to the tiger barbs, kind of like them actually.

1 of the 10s is still cycled i just need to get it home and refill it and all...thinking under the 29 might be a good placeor under the 55 2-10s?

1 ten for the endler's would be great so that i agree with...

tanker i need to read up on the green terrors and see what i want to do with them, but yes i'm keeping them in mind...

with that i have got to get out of this building and get home...

laters folks...heidi

JOHNEY DARTERS!!!!!!

so darters for the 20 long sand bottom, caves, a few plants, get 3 males and 9 females they stay small and their fav food is live blood worms, and as far as i know, they dont eat their fry, but they arnt common to the pet trade, so u will probly have to go out and get ur own (oh well right?) swimming with a collony of darters is quite the experience i have axcess to their nursery, their swiming firlds ect, in the nursery, ther r 5 adults trapped in a pool, they r on rock, and every now and then new water washes in, and steals a few fry, and a few adults, sometimes replacing them too, but there is a species of minnow that traps themselfs in the pools to snack on the fry, they are tight schoolers, never seen alone, schooling sometimes in numbers up 2 200 (and btw, this is all the stuff i noticed, none is from a source)

each female can lay 100 eggs per male, and she moves on to the next, and the male will take on several females (read)

Do an Asian biotope in a 20g. Harlequin rasboras or belted barbs, kuhlis, honey or sparking gouramis

A 10g is great for Endler's. Add some C. habrosus or pygmaeus and you'll have a really busy tank

It's early so excuse me if this is a repeat suggestion [/font]

Ok, A 10G for endlers, and I like the idea of a 20 being used for shellies....think of it Heidi, minature cichlids. Only I don't know where to get them or what they are called.
