These fish live in almost tea color water. i don't know how these fish make it but they do. i guess he only adds water rarely when they need it. n.e way when i get them home in the "TEA" water how do i make them get use to clean,clear water.past trys almost never work. i let them float for 1 hour, put alittle amount of my water in the jar, repeat, repeat, and then let them go. is there a better way of this. |
Brybenn![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1217 Kudos: 1173 Votes: 1 Registered: 02-Mar-2003 ![]() | i think the word u want is acclimation if i spelled it right? what i do for sensitive fish is i float the bag for 30 minutes in the tank im putting them into after that time i cut a small hole in the bag n use a large syringe (not the needle syringe but one of not medical use) i suck up water from the tank into it n then spray it into the bag i repeat this every 5 minutes for bout 1 hour after which i cut the bag open n push it under n allow the fish to swim out at there own time works wonders n ive never lost a fish |

The fish dont care weather the water is tea colored or not. Once the temp and pH are really close, you can let them go. |

It takes a longer amount of time to accomplish, but with the fish having to go thru such an extreme change of environment, it may be your best bet.. Good Luck with it.. |
