You common pleco will get to be over a fot long so you should probabyl find him a new home and get a smaller pleco. Your guppies migth also cause an overstock with fry if you have both male and female because they breed like crazy. They also usually have lots and lots of babies. Keep an eye on your tank and watch for any babies and such. Most likely your other fish will eat most of the babies, should you ahve any. I would still keep an eyes out though because they are pretty good at hiding when they are that small. You should definitely look into getting a smaller pleco! Christina |

They also become highly territorial and aggressive when they get bigger and are not suitable for the peaceful tank that you have. -------------------------- Billy was a scientist, Billy is no more. I had one who when it got bigger started sucking the slime coats off my other fish. It killed 2 of my fish before I got rid of it. It makes a wound on the fish and they will shortly die. When they are smaller they eat algae pretty well, but will soon turn to other things, besides algae. Like others said, 3 schools of fish is too much for your tank. I would get rid of one kind and up the numbers in the other two to 8. That way they will have room and be happy. |
