My mom manages apartments and 1 of the tenants has two 10g tanks she's giving away free. In each one there is a pleco that sounds like commons which have both gotten longer than the tank is tall. In one of the tanks there is also a round silver fish. Will both these plecos get along in my 20g long tank until I find them a new home and any ideas what the round fish is?

if the 20 gallon is empty then the plecos should get on fine untill u can rehome them, and the round silver fish sounds like a silver dollar

yes the 2 plecos should be ok for a litle while like fishy said till you can get one a new home...of course you could maybe take one or both if you wanted to the lfs and get store creditthat is if you don't want a common pleco...and yes the round silver fish sounds like a [link=silver dollar]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/silverdollar.xml" style="COLOR: #FF1493[/link] lucky you huh? heidi

Well done a photo would help to see what the "round" fish is. What else came with the tanks?
