The Blue Gouramis will grow to around 6", how many were you looking to have? I only have experience with dwarf gouramis size and behavior wise, supposedly they are the least aggressive of gouramis but my female would say otherwise! I know others who keep the larger species and were looking for a nice none aggressive community tank and it did not work out. I would place them more in a semi-aggressive category. You might be looking at a 1 male to all female ratio. A pictus catfish I'd wonder about, I have no personal experience with keeping them, however they were the first fish I ever wanted to get (until I found out they needed larger tanks.) They are said to grow from 4-6" at adult size but I have seen them markedly bigger (perhaps around the 7" range). They like to have their own kind to swim with so you would need to get more then one, and they are very active when awake, and can be very fast swimmers. |
