They shouldn't fight, but to keep clown loaches happy you'll need an exceptionally large tank (they get up to a good 14" ) The betta would be happy in a rather small tank. It might be a problem at feeding time though since clown loaches are stronger than bettas, in terms that they will get more food. Clowns do go up to the top and drag the food to the bottom(at least mine do). Another point is that clowns love water movement where bettas are not adapted to it. |

No snails since CL in tank. The CL will be coming out when I am sure there are no more snails/eggs They often swim together it is the CL that follows the M Betta. Also maybe I have a very placid Betta. Have a look in [link=My Profile]http:// www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/profile.asp?userid=6741" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] for my tank info [link=My Betta Desktop tank photos]http://photobucket.com/albums/b209/keithgh/" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Sapphire, the betta, got his own home when the 29 started to get a little overgrown. But in all that time, there were no major problems. The betta occasionally tried to chase the clowns out of the primo caves. The clowns largely evaded him and swam back in when he went up for air... No harm, mildly entertaining to watch. Gary |
