we are looking for a larger centerpeice for our 70g semi planted tank, looking for suggestions of a single fish, pair or possibly a trio.

tank paramaters:-
ph-7.0
dh-12
kh-3
temp-25c
ammonia-0
nitrite-0
nitrate-30.

current stock.
7 peppered cories
7 metae/panda cories
2 bn cats
1 L127 plec
8 flame tetra
7 pentazona barb
2 apistogramma cacatuoides (both female we think)
2 blue rams (pair)
7 danios (can be moved to make more room for the centerpiece)

as you can see we have a lot of smaller fish at the moment, hopefully i have given all the information about the tank you need.
all suggestions appreciated.

thanks in advance.

I wouldn't add a centerepiece fish with the nitrates at 30. Another large fish would make them even higher, and the ideal number is about 20.

Is the tank planted?

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

sorry, that reading is just before last weeks water change, and they have been falling steadily over the past few weeks since i replanted the back of the tank.
it splanted with camboda and swords st the back anda few anoubias, crypts and grasses at the front.
i wont add fish untill it drops to around 10, but i wantto have decided by then what to add.

Maybe you can add 1 or 2 Pearl Gourami.

I would go with the rainbow idea, b/c they would fit in nice with the rest of your schooling fish.

what about 3-4 silver dollars

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

Silver Dollars are a little big for that tank but i would do it only for they would have fun eating your plants. Discus are a good choice, but dont get barbs if you get Discus.

I would have to say Discus. You have a nice peaceful setup and you should get some. You can throw in 5-6 juveniles if you want them to pair up, and then trade in or sell the unpaired ones. You can have lots of Discus babies that way too
