It was most likely a bacterial bloom. Should clear out in a day or 2. LOL cycling usually takes a MONTH to complete. It doesn't happen in 2 hours. ![]() Monitor your fish closely and try not to overfeed! Last edited by fishnewbie at 07-Aug-2005 11:49 |

The water is, like said last post, probably cloudy form a bacteria bloom. Feed sparingly. As for changin water, you really aren't supposed to change it a lot during the cycle since it takes out the ammonia the bacteria are feeding on. |

As it's been said the tank isn't fully cycled, but what you will be doing is cycling it with fish. Keep an eye on the water parameters, as you don't want too high of an ammonia spike to hurt your fish or frog...don't do large water changes during this time of cycling, but smaller will be better...and as I said you will need to keep an eye on the water parameters, if you don't have a test kit you need to get one to monitor the changes...best of luck, heidi "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." Everyone told me it was normal, a bacterial bloom and would clear itself up. I said, 'yea, right'....but you know what??? It did! Took a few days for me to notice a difference and probably a week to completely clear up, but when it did, it was crystal clear. Carol B |
