i need a colorful mid-top fish to make my 29g aquarium more color full, i was thinking 10 neons or 2 dwarf gourmies, german ram, but if any one has suggestions tell me

Dwarf gouramis are known as one of the more aggressive gouramis... I'd be leery about putting two together in a smallish tank like that.

What else is in the tank?

Glass catfish
albino corys
common plec
baby balas
rainbow shark

Dang, you really need to get rid of those Balas ASAP. You know they can grow up to a foot right? Try giving/selling them to a fish store.

I also would be hesistant in adding Dwarf Gouramis... Maybe you could try having just one though. But if you did that you'd have to get rid of the rainbow shark because they DEFIANATELY would not get along. If it were me, I keep the shark and forget the gourami... they're more interesing anyway IMO.

The combo of German Rams and cardinals would be beautiful though. Colorful enough for me, and no compatiblity issues.

Hope you do some weekly water changes though.(or at least once every 2 weeks)

Try some of the Rainbows. They are very hardy, very colorful, and usually available everywhere these days.

There is always a bigger fish...

my balas are going into my 120 gallon when they out grow that one, i put them in their so they wouldnt get eaten by my bigger fish
they are about 1and a half inches still technically fry

Golden wonder killies fit the bill perfectly. they are available at petsmart. The small ones do not show off much color, but the adults are striking.

My dwarf gouramis are in all depths of the tank, where the killies are almost exclusively at the top.

sounds full to me, right now, i'd wait until the bigger(to be fish) are big and they have been moved, then pick some new color fish. but cardinals would add some color.

Male betta and 2 females or rams or pineapple swordtails or guppys or search for the colour you want on that thing here ull probs get a match right lemme see

umm.. 1 male betta + 2 females.

bettas should be alone due to vary aggressions that they can have, but as a "general" rule males should not be in the same tank unless they are for breeding, but then a community tank is not for breeding,

a problem with livebearers is that u would need to get all males, unless u have many tanks ready to house young.


but again i wouldn't get anything until the fish get big and move out.
