sumthin_fishy![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enthusiast Posts: 237 Kudos: 314 Votes: 16 Registered: 13-Aug-2004 ![]() | you dont need to get 4 and hope for a pair, you just need a male, female and water! seriously they breed like rabbits on steroids! females are smaller and have orange colour on their belly, but i'm not sure if they colour up while they are that small. also males have a slight bump on their forehead. tho i'm pretty sure you wont be able to tell at that size! if all the fish are from the same batch, just pick one of the biggest and one of the smallest and that should be ok... and buy some grow out tanks! ![]() |

sumthin_fishy![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enthusiast Posts: 237 Kudos: 314 Votes: 16 Registered: 13-Aug-2004 ![]() | trust me, they are guarenteed breeders. if u can just get 1 male and 1 female thats all i suggest! dont bother starting with four, unless u know ur LFS will take 2 them back. you might have a prob getting rid of them coz they are so prolific and they can get quite aggressive. i also wouldnt add any other fish, they will most probably end up killing them once they start breeding. |
