i have a pair of convicts that are breeding because everytime i stick my hand near the top of the log where they like to hide the female hides in the log and the male attacks my hand. they are the only ones in a 27 gallon and i was wondering what i should do to the tank to prepare it for babies and should i set upo another tank for the fry or can they stay with the parents. i am so happy

They can stay with the parents. Convicts are really aggressive when it comes to protecting their babies.

they can stay with the parents for a while, but eventually if you want to keep them the fry will have to be removed to a separate tank. I'd remove them between 4-6 weeks from the time they hatch.
