longhairedgit![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Guru Lord of the Beasts Posts: 2502 Kudos: 1778 Votes: 29 Registered: 21-Aug-2005 ![]() | Its probably a good idea to cycle even very small tanks if youre gonna be using a filter, just because people often ditch all the water in one go and start with totally new tapwater doesnt mean you have to do that. A cup of water out and a cup of water back in daily would be plenty to keep on top of things, you might not have to even do it daily. And sad as it may seem you can buy some really tiny gravel washers. Bettas are tough, but a total water change can still be a bit of a shock to the system, even if its only a temperature issue. Just treat things as you would in a large tank, only scaled down and you cant go wrong.Either method doesnt really create much work, so why compromise.
