DarkRealm Overlord, it wasn't a personal attack at all, it was constructive critisism.

Importfan878 and I go back years and I know he would have appreciated the posts before they were wrongfully deleted.

[font color="#C00000"]Dave, it might not have been a personal attack to you on import, but it seemed like it to me. Comments like that are not needed or wanted in the forums. You know the rules about posting.

Its probably a good idea to cycle even very small tanks if youre gonna be using a filter, just because people often ditch all the water in one go and start with totally new tapwater doesnt mean you have to do that. A cup of water out and a cup of water back in daily would be plenty to keep on top of things, you might not have to even do it daily. And sad as it may seem you can buy some really tiny gravel washers. Bettas are tough, but a total water change can still be a bit of a shock to the system, even if its only a temperature issue. Just treat things as you would in a large tank, only scaled down and you cant go wrong.Either method doesnt really create much work, so why compromise.
