I'm trying to come up with ideas for a relatively easy breeder for a 10g. I don't want livebearers; I have a multi tank and a brevis tank already setup. Right now the tank has a Flourite/gravel substrate and is planted but those things can be changed if necessary.

Any ideas?

do you have a separate growout or do they need to be raised in the 10 too?

What is the filter like?

I have a 6g that can be used as a growout. There's a Whisper 20 on the 10g right now.

Convicts, maybe? Bristlenose plecos, corydoras.

Cherry Barbs would work in a 10 gallon tank. I have 2 pairs and was surpised to find 2 fry. Each pair spawned and only one of each spawning survived. I wasn't expecting them to breed, so they do breed easy.

Try getting one of the rarer species of Danios. You might pay a lot for them in the beginning, but most species are very easy to breed and you can make some money selling the offspring.

Plus, species like Danio choprae and Danio kyathit are some of the most colorful aquarium fish I've seen when in breeding coloration.
