i have a Q. angels can eat untill they die, or says so in the mag, n.e way i have a high fin loach that is not eatting. in fact i believe he is straving himself to death. why is that some fish will do this. his condition has been failing since i got him. the other 2 are doing great, but i am out of options with this fish. what is there left to do.

Yes, Angelfish can eat until they die. Someone a long time ago needed help with their Angelfish because they had gotten rectal prolapse from eating too much.

Anyway, the opposite, commonly called a feeding strike, can be caused by a number of things. Moray Eels are known to randomly go on hunger strikes. Other fish will stop eating in response to declining water quality. Moorish Idols and Ribbon Eels are notorious for being difficult fish to keep mostly because they don't begin eating in captivity; stress gets to the fish and they hardly recover. Lastly, you might just not be feeding a food that it wants to eat...

i have tried color bits(which the other ones eat) blood worms, live black worms, and algae pellets. he has started to eat some color bits, but he is VERY skinny.

Those fish are actually one of the harder fish to acclimate to the aquaria. Only like one out of 3-5 live for more than a few months.
