I tried the small fish new life spectrum pellets but even those are too big. They clean up little bits of tubifex or bloodworm after the other fish have torn it up some but they don't get much. I've been crushing flakes up into nearly powder but I'd like to feed them more than just flakes. |

This terrific food is available in a wide range of sizes and is targeted for feeding corals, tiny fry etc through to a weaning size particle. You would have to order it online, as you are not likely to find it in any fish store. See http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/other_goldpearl_particle.html You might consider hatching and feeding baby brine shrimp to your threadfins. A terrific food. If hatching BBS regularly does not appeal, you could hatch a big batch and freeze small potions in a mini ice cube tray and feed one cube every so often. Another great live food is grindal worms - these little worms are a snap to culture. Baby red wiggler worms are easy to culture and harvest too, as are whiteworms, but the whiteworms need to be kept cool, below 72F. |

I would use a "pulse" mode = start/stop action to try and avoid making flour/dust. |
