Just don't go with cichlids ![]() Livebearers should be fine, as would a bristlenose. |

The moss will give the females a place that they feel is safe to give birth, and the fry will hide in the moss to avoid being eaten. Kitten has a moss wall in one of her betta tanks (wait, which one isn't a betta tank ) that looks really good As calla mentioned, really any fish suited for a 30g tank will do, just no cichlids. Also no goldfish because I have heard of instances where they have eaten java moss, but they grow too large for a 30g anyway ![]() |

My platies only nip on plant matter that is on its way out (starting to decompose) and as such do me a favor by cleaning up. Ingo EDIT: uh, 3 blue responses in a row, hope Keith is the next one. So long as they don't pick at it too much while it's growing there should be far more moss than they can eat. The only fish to avoid are those that might completely destroy the wall out of boredom or curiosity like cichlids. |

Angelfish, rams, keyholes, festivums would all love a place for they're fry to hide. |

Kitten had hers attached to plastic canvas (good stuff and it's cheap ) She did finally remove it thinking it was causing trouble, but found out the trouble was being caused by a witchy little female betta![]() Go for it, I love the look myself, and will eventually get mine all covered right now the java moss has taken over the bottom of the 10 gallon betta tank![]() But, as had been said cichlids will inhale any and almost all plants even duck weed as will goldies:%)heidi "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom."
