for example albino corys are more coomon than albino bettas/neons etc.

inbreeding
weak strains
selective breeding
reccisive genes
dominiant genes
it depends on the fish at hand n the desired strain like the golden german blue ram or dwarf gourami to bettas fins n colours

A lot of it comes from selective breeding. Albino fish are rather popular, so albinism has become rather common in fish as it is bred in such a manner to encourage albinos. Thus, albinos are more common in the fishworld than in most other areas...

Albino neons I've never seen. Albino bettas are extremely rare (not to be confused with "cellophanes" or "opaques" and generally are both weak and very blind, which isn't uncommon with albinos of many species. To my knowledge there's been no successful breeding of an albino betta, for those reasons.

Albino cories, on the other hand, are robust and have good vision. The gene's just linked up differently for them. Combine that with how easy it is to breed the common cories and ta-da! Lots of albino ones, everywhere.

i have seen a female albino betta been bred by http://bcbetta.com but has yet to turn up albino babies. anyway
a few more questions on this topic.

the blind cave fish: albino or no pigment like the celophane betta.

and by selective breeding, you mean finding fishes that have one trait like (being large for its kind) and breeding with another like that to have young that have that trait?

Blind cave fish are not albino. Because they have been living in dark caves for thousands of years, however, they have lost most of their pigment (not all, they still have some).

this is a confusing question, because, AFAIK, "albino" means "with no pigments", at least in the medical jargon.

white is not albino.

there are kinds of albinism that are not total. this is also true for humans. it's a genetical desease, usually.
