I thaw frozen foods in a cup of tank water but most of the time a cube seems too much for one feeding. Rather than dumping the whole thing and let the fish will consume everything eventually, I thought maybe I could keep the leftoever in some tank water and leave it for the next feeding or overnight. Is this a bad idea? Thanks! -P ![]() |

But, do not use tank water, use tap water. As your tank water is full of bacteria that will start breaking the foods down quickly, even in the fridge. Use tap water to thaw the foods, and place what you don't use in the fridge for the next day use. There is always a bigger fish... |

It will not harm the food, nor the fish. And, it will help to preserve the food better while overnight in the fridge. There is always a bigger fish... |
