If they are big enough to eat them they will. If you must put them together have lots of plants, the harlies will need places to hide and you may want to increase their numbers. Larger shoals are much harder to get at a single individual and it will make the harlies feel more secure. The cories increase to min. 6-8, the otos could go to 8-10, they're also pretty tiny and will feel more secure in larger numbers. I had an angel in a 55g tank for about 3 months and she was fine. She was the first one at the top of the water at feeding time and just hung out. I just now added another angel and she seems to like him. She doesn't really act any different than before though. One angel is fine. The reason most people get 3 is so that 2 will pair off and you won't have aggression problems. I got lucky and my angel likes the one I just added. the otos could go to 8-10 Just make sure you have enough algae because they will die off if you don't. In a new tank setup I would only put in the ones you already have (3 I guess) and then see if you need to add more later. I had one otto in my 55g for a while and he was ok being alone. I just recently added the 2 from my 10g in the 55g. Last edited by GirlieGirl8519 at 23-Jan-2006 18:21 |
SheKoi![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 553 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Feb-2004 ![]() | i already have all the fish to start of need to no which arrangement is best. angels don't need to be in groups can be very nasty to one another, mine had been alone for years so can't add anymore he'd kill them. the harries are fully grown and have lived with the angel for years in my 40g so they are all going together into the 72g thats why its an up grade. angel has never even tried to eat them. i need to no where to put the fish from my 20g and 10g. gourami can't go with angel - tried it they don't like each other. clown pleco is no problem in planted - he's to lazy to damage anything and is only 3inches. bristlenose will be in rocky tank becasue he does knock plants about. sorry if sound off just got in from work knackered need sleep. thanks for repiles ![]() Last edited by shekoi at 23-Jan-2006 18:33 www.blooming-brilliant.co.uk |
