Are they on their own, or in a community tank?. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I have light gravel on the bottom and a sponge filter, as well as some java moss. They have been in there for about a week and he hasnt made any bubbles yet. I have been feeding them blood worms and flake food. I dont want to disturb them too much, but I dont know what to do to get him interested. |

Just remember that, it's not when you want them, but when they want to........ ![]() http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

But you are enabling them to successfully build and maintasin their bubblenestWait 2-3 days if they have not spawned remove them and try again in a week or so. If they do spawn remaove the female the next day and the male 2-3 days after spawning. Around 5 days after seeing fry add a air stone for Oxygen supply. Over the next week and a half slowly add water to fill the tank. You also have to seperate the fry according to size as they grow as they'll all grow differently and the b igger will eat the small |

Right now I have some java moss, but it would suprise me how the bubbles would stay under that. I went and bought some other floating plants, but I cant remember what they are called. As well, I have 2 females....can I put both with the male and let him choose, or should I just put one in? |

Also, i find that honwort works well and it is very inexpensive. Oh yeah, and also the bottom should be bare as when the female drops the eggs they will be easier for the male to find. What will be the males behaviors now? He only chases her around the tank and she hides. She is very plump thought. Hopefully she will give in soon. As well, how will I know if they have spawned? Will there be some tell tale signs? Thanks for all the help already! |
