Helloo,

Over the last few days the Tank I look after at work has developed this sort of green slime on the top couple of inches of the water.

Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it. Groses me out.

There is overfeeding going on and the light needs to be cut off more often, and check you water parameters...also keep up with the water changes...

For now, either scoop it out with your hand, net, scoop whatever, and keep scooping...best of luck, heidi michelle

It could be one of several things including, lighting too much natural or artifical, feeding to much. A full water, lighting and tank location in the room, would be very helpful.

one thing that hasn't bin mentioned is that nitrate and phosphate play a much larger roll than you think in the development of algae so using special comercial prodocts
such as JBL NitratEX36000 and JBL PhosEX20000 in your
filter youcan effectively remove NO3 and PO4
