We are having problems with green water in our 30 gal tank. Ph, nitrites, nitrates are all good. We have been three water changes this week and added stuff to clear patriculates, but it is still green and cloudy. Any ideas?

Have you checked your phosphate level? Sometimes water from the tap contains phosphates, which are good algae food. High phosphate levels usually attract lots of algae, especially the suspended kind which you apparently have.

Also, what is your lighting schedule, and do you have any live plants? Too much lighting can cause an algae bloom; while lots of live plants will cut down on algae levels through competition. They'll take up the light and nutrients that the algae would otherwise use.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
