I got up this morning to the exciting astonishment of having babies/fry in my tank...though the probem is I have no clues what kind of fry they are at all...they are just so tiny and I think there are 3 or 4 of the fry in there...my tank has 2 mollies, 2 redtail sharks, 1 CAE, 5 zebra danios...

Who do you think had the babies and what should I do about them...I am lost and if you cannot tell I am new to the fish keeping realm...please help...

My guess would be the mollies - how large are they? Do they have any colorations yet? Were you able to get them moved to a breeding net or some other location? if not will probably become a snack for the other fish.

u feed them finely crushed flake, and yes u can put them in a breeders net, but i just use a large size fish net, works just the same and is cheaper

My guess is the mollys. They are livebearers, and livebearing fish are like rabbits :%)

Here is an article on how to raise livebearer fry. IMO a breeding net would be the best housing for them.

As for your CAE and your sharks... The cae.xml" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">CAE can actually grow to be about a foot long and will stop eating algae once they get a little bigger. Instead they have a tendancy to eat the slime coat off of other fish

Your sharks... are they rainbows]http://fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/rainbow.xml[/link] or [link=redtails? The two look very simliar but you'll notice the different fins. Some people caim that they cannot be kept with their own species, tho others have had success. They also can be agressive towards tankmates at times. Do yours seem to be ok? What size are they? Just watch them carefully ans make sure they have hiding places, like rock caves.
