I know you have to thaw them and remove the outer shell part. But do you have to cook them? Or are peas OK when raw?

Just thaw them and deshell them... Then mush it so it's easy for smaller fish to eat. Or not... fish will pick at the peas, but if you want to feed to a particular (top dwelling) fish, smushing them up works well.

yep kitten said it...

take a few, and run them under hot water for a bit, and then just mush them between your fingers into the tank, keeping the shell, or scooping it back up out of the tank...your fishies will love you for it

I just grab a few each time I cook them in the MW.

I just mash them between my fingers and drop them into the tank.

Shouldn't ever cook them in the microwave, that removes nutritional value. Well at least they say that for feeding humans so I am sure it applies to feeding fish human foods. That is why you are not supposed to warm a baby's bottle in the microwave. Well that and scalding mixed spots in the fluid.

Alright, sounds good. That's what I've been doing. But since some of the fish didn't even take notice of the peas, I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly. I guess some of my fish just don't like peas. Thanks for help everyone!
