Clown loaches will need a bigger tank long term. They can eventually hit a foot or more in length, so a group of them needs at least ninety gallons. Just keep that in mind.

I say around...
Six clowns
Twenty-eight tiger barbs
Personally, I wouldn't keep labs in there. It's possible, but it really doesn't appeal to me.

I tried to keep 3 cichlids (kribs) once with barbs and i have clowns, and contrary to what everyone says about Kribs being a good community fish, they were mental and attacked any barb that came near it. Also, I guess their water requirements are quite different, clownies need nice soft water, and most cichlids prefer harder water.

Kribs will attack other fish, especially if they have fry.

4 Clown Loaches & 25 Barbs would be a very good setup & don't add any Yellow Labs, as they are African Cichlids & i wouldn't mix them.

You probably could keep a peacock eel in there. I am not sure of other types. I think Tiger barbs get too large for an eel to eat.
Lots of people on here know tons about eels. Im sure they will help you out.
I am glad you left out the labs- they are african cichlids and should only be kept with other african cichlids. Same as Kribs.

6 clowns seems like kind of a lot. even though they are slow growing it is going to shorten the time you can keep them in that tank. and clown loaches are a more massive fish and have a heavy bio-load. I would also not fully stock your tank with just these two types of fish because there color patters are so similar you should add something else that has more contrast. like a school of another type of barb, like golden barbs or rosy barbs.

do 15 tiger barbs and 6 of either rosey or golden and 4 clown loaches, that would be cool.

Yep Loaches -
that is Muffin. She is a 3 year old female long haired Chihuahua.
Isnt she cute!?! She has her "summer hair do" on right now.
I love Chihuahua's - great little dogs with so much personality.

Peacock eels are very cool.
I would like to keep one myself, but I would need to get another tank
