In order for them to be happy, i believe there should be at least 6 of them, WAY to many for a 2.5 gallon tank! Sam |

Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 ![]() | No, Harlequin Rasboras can't/shouldn't go in a 2.5 gallon ![]() As has been said they belong in schools of 6 or more, and they grow to be about 1-1.5 inches easily... Take everyone's advice and go with a nice pretty betta, he'll love you for all the room, and be happy heidi![]() Last edited by houston at 19-Jul-2005 20:25 "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." A betta, 2 cherry barbs, an applesnail, or shrimp is about it. If you don't like any of those options you need a bigger tank. In a 5g you could probably do a trio of very small gouramis such as sparkling(not dwarf gouramis), a trio of small livebearers like endlers, or a dwarf puffer. The fish you want, aside from cherry barbs, would require at least a 10g tank possibly more depending which species you choose. |

Just get a beautiful Betta in there & enjoy it. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ Last edited by jasonpisani at 20-Jul-2005 02:32 http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
