Today I'm going to set up a paludarium in one of my 10g tanks and move my fiddlers and BBGs in. So I'm left with an empty 6g Eclipse.

It's not currently planted but has ~1.5-2" of gravel/Flourite substrate. And I don't know what I want to do with it in terms of fish.

I currently have 2 large cichlid tanks, a mixed community (platies, barbs, bottom feeders), an Endler's breeding tank, Asian biotope (honey gouramis, harlequins, kuhliis), and an odd 5g with guppy fry and a dwarf puffer. Oh can't forget my male betta

The tank sits on my kitchen counter where I spend a lot of time so I'd like something with color or activity, or both.
I do like killies that I've seen online and in books, but lfs only have golden wonders and I'm not very interested in them.

I prefer to have the tank planted, I do weekly maintenance on all my tanks, and I do tend to overstock

Any ideas?

If you're interested in killies you could always buy the eggs on aquabid or possibly another source as there are many breeders that sell the eggs. The shipping for just eggs is not very much.

This way you would also have the benefit of raising the fry also. Most of the killies are fast growing so the tank wouldn't be empty for long.

That's a great idea, I never thought of it

If you happen to have any killie knowledge, could you please take a look at my post [link=here]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Rainbowfish%20and%20Killies/57866.html" style="COLOR: #FF66FF[/link]?
