i am beginning to stock my 20 gallon tall hexagon fish tank.
i was thinking of going with 1 male betta 2f. 1 or 2 dwarf gouramis. and a lot of different live bearers. any suggestions concerns??? thnx for ur responses

With lots of Livebearers, you'll have lots of fry & soon your tank will be overstocked.
Why don't you get a pair of Dwarf Gourami & a school of Tetra's?.

thanks you for the imput. do betas eat fry. and i heard that it was hard to find female dwarf gouramis. i would love to get 3 gouramis (1m 2f) but i dunno. what kind of tetras? neon?

Yes. Betta's eat fry & yes, female Dwarf Gourami are a bit difficult to find.

You can choose some RummyNose or Black Neons if you like. Even Neons or Cardinals are fine.

You can also have some Corydoras, as bottom fish.

i wouldn't mix the male and female bettas. they should be seperate untill they are used for breeding. as for the livebearers guppies would do well. and the ADF.

males may fight the females or get beat up by them. bettas are like people in which they have different personallites. the mild ones may get ripped up by a female if that female is a fin nipper. or the male may be very aggressive and attack the female(or may kill her[i have never seen this]). if you didn't know that bettas will fight, then don't get bettas.
