TANK (21"D x 63"H x 51"W w/base) sounds kinda funny,
becuase it should be alot more then 120 gallons.
Lookin for a tank for a jardini, I wanna try to keep the tank size to a minium. I only have like a thousand to spend on the tank.

nope not big enough for arowana. You need atleast a 3ft wide tank and 8ft long. If your handy at all then you try to build one. I know lots of people who built tanks up to 300g under a thousand.

The problem with everyone' advice here is that you overlooked the species of arowana. An 8 foot tank is only needed for a silver arowana(South American). SA arowanas are the biggest in the world. The webpage talks about Asian arowanas, the smallest. The question is asking towards a jardini, an Australian arowana. Aus. arowanas are in between Asian and SA. Therefore, the tank size should be too. Although the tank is obscenely large and I would not want to clean that, it can hold an arowana.

it will work
odd demensions i mite add but it will due i jsut lsot my silver arrowanna although not very old it jumped n smashed through a 2mm glass panal under my lite n n somehow made it down the lite shaft in the custom hood i made to the floor while i was at work

n a tip wit arrowannas is when they turn they turn over themselves
if its lips start to get worn then a bigger tank is needed

I would invest that thousand more wisely. A nearly 3' fish cannot be kept in said tank for the duration of it's life. Minimum specs, IMO, 1.5x length width wise, and 3.5x it's length length wise. A DIY sump and a canister filter can't cost more than 250 bucks. The rest of the 750 can be used to order a custom built tank.

I know of two people keeping the Jardini in 150 gal tanks each. One is 15 years old, and the other 8 years old. I kept my silver for 8 years in a 300 gal. And now have my black in a 7 foot 300 gal.
