joe fishy  Fish Addict Posts: 605 Kudos: 1355 Votes: 65 Registered: 21-Apr-2003 | This is actually a type of Killifish, native to the waters of the state of Florida here in the U.S. It's fairly hardy, and not too difficult to breed. The males can be rambunctious if kept together, and don't keep them with long-finned fish. They will eat algae for you, and will exhibit some parental care of their eggs, even though they are not Cichlids. HTH! Best wishes for your Fishes! |
